Zachary Feltoon graduated from Pratt Institute with a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Design. Next, he concentrated his interest into the founding of David Zachary in early 2009. David Zachary has worked with clients and manufacturers to produce furniture and products that have a unique sensitivity to the environment in which they will exist. Ecological design and the understanding of the larger scope of a product’s implications have been the primary focus of their work.
David Zachary is a proud member of Pratt’s Design Incubator, a social business collective and consultancy that gives support to young firms. Recently, Zachary was invited to speak at Heller’s Fifth Avenue showroom, to a group of design professionals about David Zachary’s work. The talk focused on the importance that design has in encouraging personal and social interaction, citing the WishPop, TiZ Bed and SSBX projects (latter to be announced).
